How Gen Z consumers and the ‘trust economy’ are changing the mall experience
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong officiated the function, providing the Champion of Good grants, while Senior Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth, and Trade and Sector Low Yen Ling provided the Firm of Good– 3 Hearts awards.
At the same time, 63 business were given the Champion of Good honor– the top tier of the recognition system– consisting of Kuok (Singapore), Lendlease Global Commercial Trust Management, Mapletree Investments and TS Group.
The announcement was made at NVPC’s Business of Good Conference and Conferment held on July 20 at Fairmont Singapore, which saw approximately 700 business heads got together.
An overall of 481 companies were identified as Firms of Good by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) this year, as the initiative marked its 10th anniversary. The recognition honours businesses that produce favorable social effect in Singapore.
“Ten years on, Company of Good has already presented that Business Function is significantly becoming an important part of how organisations develop value for their stakeholders and the more comprehensive society,” states Tony Soh, CEO, NVPC.
Small and medium-sized enterprises accounted for the majority of receivers, comprising 376 organisations, or 78% of the total.
Over the last 3 years, 1,046 recognised Companies of Good have actually jointly contributed close to $384 million in amount contributions, greater than $85 million in donations in-kind, and more than 1.1 million volunteer hours.
Another 113 business obtained the Company of Good– 3 Hearts acknowledgment, including 8M Realty, Banyan Tree Holdings, Far East Orchard, OUE REIT Management and Savills (Singapore).
“As we look in advance, NVPC will focus on reinforcing the community of Companies of Good and enabling organisations to learn from one another, collaborate across companies and sectors and produce influence with each other,” adds Soh.
This year’s associate includes 177 Business of Good– 1 Heart receivers, among them Colliers, Fraxtor, Craig Road Property, Ngee Koon, and Momentus Resort Alexandra.
